A Story

Oh, we were resting on the rooftop, we were laughing
Lying over open books from earlier day
We were singing different colours, seeing new tunes
Tasting the full moon of night

In the fields of daisy, we lay awake
Tracing black ants on their march
Placing sticks and stones in their way
Never wondering, ever knowing the shortness of living

If only I had known we were ending
Rolling over, just like the summer goes away
But the sunlight we remember is still going
Sparkling dancing behind the swing

When we drive away, we keep searching
I am dreaming, you are watching the road ahead
In the morning, we keep reaching for each other
The world still full of wonders for us to play
