A Song About Life Right Now

I arrive
At the edge of the world, to
Escape the corners of my mind - full
Of whisperers questioning

I watch
A sun rise, shine across faraway skies, through
Flocks of geese, planes, bright balloons - going
Somewhere, anywhere

I stand, inhale,
And wait for them to receive me, and
Wait for them to see me, speak to me, feel me
How long will it be?

Oh, forests, oceans, finite sky
Rustle, rush and whirl - they
Continue on their way growing, changing
Not a single thought on returning

I fall
Into night, into moon's silken silver thread - an
Angel in velvet dark: swaying, cradling,
Singing bittersweetly

Singing for me
